PRESQU’ILE OF QUIBERON

The presqu’île of Quiberon

Located in Brittany’s Morbihan region, the famous peninsula is just twenty kilometers from the Saint-Laurent campsite. With its towering cliffs and blue waters, the Presqu’ile of Quiberon offers exceptional panoramic views that are sure to win you over. The town of Quiberon and its dune-lined beaches are ideal for a family outing.

This rocky spit stretches out 14 km into the ocean, and Quiberon’s large rocky massifs have been listed since 1936 as “natural monuments and sites”.

The wild coast of Quiberon

The term “Côte Sauvage” is a tourist designation for sites along the Atlantic coastline that preserve natural spaces. The wild coastline of the Presqu’ile of Quiberon is a trail of over 8 kms, offering landscapes sculpted from rock by the repeated assaults of the sea. The cliffs resist as the waves batter them relentlessly. This is where nature’s evocative power comes into its own, so for lovers of grandiose spectacles, the Quiberon peninsula is the place to be.

Quiberon, fabulous views

The Quiberon peninsula is famous for the panoramic views it offers travelers. An ideal playground for lovers of fine photography. We recommend two views of the island. Firstly, the best-known, Pointe du Percho, which highlights the cliffs and Pointe du Conguel.

Quiberon, a town of gastronomy

Quiberon is also known as a gourmet town, and you’ll have no trouble finding excellent restaurants all along the peninsula. Its proximity to the auctions of the various fishing ports means that the menu features the freshest seafood, particularly shellfish from Brittany. And don’t forget to visit the Quiberon market, which takes place every Wednesday morning in Port Haliguen.

Château Turpault

Located on the Pointe de la Lande at the entrance to Côte Sauvage, Château Turpault can be seen from afar. This Anglo-Medieval manor house was built in 1904. You can only take souvenir photos outdoors, as it is a private property and cannot be visited.

The Presqu’ile of Quiberon is just 30 minutes from our campsite in Brittany. If you would like further advice for your visits, the campsite team will be happy to help you. Book your cottage or camping pitch in Morbihan.
